~Deliverance from Bondage

~Our Victory in Christ

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.  (Rom 8:26)

And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.  (Rom 8:27)

~Solicitude for Israel

I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,  (Rom 9:1)

(According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.  (Rom 11:8)

Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;  (Rom 12:11)

There is difference also between a wife and a virgin.  The unmarried woman careth for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.  (1Co 7:34)

But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.  (1Co 7:40)

speaking by the Spirit of God

gifts of the Holy Spirit one Spirit, one baptism, one body For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.  (1Co 14:2)

For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.  (1Co 14:14)

What is it then?  I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.  (1Co 14:15)

Else when thou shalt bless with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks, seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest?  (1Co 14:16)

And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.  (1Co 15:45)

For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.  (1Co 16:18)

Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.  (2Co 1:22)

I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia.  (2Co 2:13)

~Paul Reveals His Heart

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.  (2Co 7:1)

Therefore we were comforted in your comfort: yea, and exceedingly the more joyed we for the joy of Titus, because his spirit was refreshed by you all.  (2Co 7:13)

For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.  (2Co 11:4)

I desired Titus, and with him I sent a brother.  Did Titus make a gain of you?  walked we not in the same spirit?  walked we not in the same steps?  (2Co 12:18)

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all.  Amen.  (2Co 13:14)

This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?  (Gal 3:2)

Are ye so foolish?  having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?  (Gal 3:3)

He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?  (Gal 3:5)

That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.  (Gal 3:14)

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.  (Gal 4:6)

But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.  (Gal 4:29)

For we through the Spirit wait

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.  (Gal 5:16)

For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.  (Gal 5:17)

But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.  (Gal 5:18)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,  (Gal 5:22)

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.  (Gal 5:25)

~Bear One Another's Burdens

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.  (Gal 6:1)

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.  (Gal 6:8)

Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.  Amen.  (Gal 6:18)

grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealed

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:  (Eph 1:17)

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:  (Eph 2:2)

For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.  (Eph 2:18)

In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.  (Eph 2:22)

Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;  (Eph 3:5)

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;  (Eph 3:16)

Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.  (Eph 4:3)

There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;  (Eph 4:4)

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;  (Eph 4:23)

(For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)  (Eph 5:9)

And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;  (Eph 5:18)

And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:  (Eph 6:17)

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;  (Eph 6:18)

For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,  (Phi 1:19)

Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;  (Phi 1:27)

~Be Like Christ

If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies,  (Phi 2:1)

For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.  (Phi 3:3)

Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.  (Col 1:8)

For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.  (Col 2:5)

For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake.  (1Th 1:5)

And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost.  (1Th 1:6)

He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.  (1Th 4:8)

Quench not the Spirit.  (1Th 5:19)

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.  (1Th 5:23)

That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.  (2Th 2:2)

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:  (2Th 2:8)

But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:  (2Th 2:13)

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.  (1Ti 3:16)


Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;  (1Ti 4:1)

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.  (1Ti 4:12)

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  (2Ti 1:7)

That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.  (2Ti 1:14)

~Testing the Spirits

And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.  (1Jo 4:3)

We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us.  Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.  (1Jo 4:6)
