These judgments, which have produced enormous economic impacts on the United States of America, have been recurring as events and trends within a 7-year cycle.

Instead of responding with repentance (see 2Ch 7:14), the USA has responded with defiance, just as Israel did in ancient times (see Isa 9:8-21).  Therefore, this cycle may reoccur yet another time in the USA.

This 7-year cycle has been marked by record setting drops in the DJIA.

1.  The 1st drop of 684.81 points in the DJIA occurred when the New York Stock Exchange reopened, after the 9/11 attacks against the World Trade Center.
This was on Monday, September 17, 2001 (Elul 29 on the Hebrew calendar, being the last day of the Bible's 7-year cycle, the 7th year of which is known as the Shemitah Year (aka Shmitah, Shmita, Sabbath Year, Sabbatical years, cycles, see Lev 25:1-7).

2.  The 2nd drop of 777.68 points in the DJIA occurred 7 years later, on Monday, September 29, 2008 (also on Elul 29).

3.  The 3rd drop of ??? points in the DJIA may occur yet another 7 years later, on Sunday, September 13, 2015 (also on Elul 29).

The DJIA is currently advancing at the rate of 14.7% per 7-year cycle.  This amounts to a 1.98% compounded annually growth rate.
(This growth rate produces the best "least squares" fit.)
(To get a forcasted value, simply multiply the actual DJIA monthly average from 7 years ago by 1.147)

On Oct-2007 the top of the previous cycle (11,976 forecast, 13,901 actual) occurred.

Variations (points and timing) within each 7-year cycle can be substancial.  For example, in Mar-2009 the forecast (12,045) was 4,809 points higher than the actual (7,235, the bottom of the previous cycle).  But by Sep-2009, just 6 months later, the forecast and the actual had just passed the being equal point (forecast 9,360, actual 9,634).

Currently, the actual (14,675) as of Apr-2013 is running about 1,800 points above the forecast (12,886).

The DJIA has a forecasted high for this 7-year cycle of about a 16,000 average for the month of Oct-2014.

The DJIA has a forecasted low for this 7-year cycle of about an 8,300 average for the month of Mar-2016.

A substancially greater actual high, could lead to a much lower actual low, if a "boom bust" type cycle emerges.
